Visa Information

As a full time student at BSM, you will eligible to obtain a Non-Immigrant Education Visa provided by Bangkok School of Management. This visa is renewable throughout your studies with us at BSM. While at BSM, you will have access to the following visa services:

  • 90-Day

From the day you enter Thailand, every 90 days an international student is required to report their place of residence to the Immigration Office. BSM’s Visa Officer and Admissions Department will notify you of your upcoming 90 day report to retrieve your passport and visit the Immigration Office for you.

There is a 14 day window to renew your 90 Days (-7←90 Days→+7). If your 90 Day report is overdue, there will be a fine of 2,000 THB from Immigration.

  • Re-Entry

As you travel in and out of Thailand for vacation, visiting home, or other purposes, you will be responsible to obtain a Re-Entry Permit. This has to be done in person at the Immigration Office in Chaeng Wattana or at the Airport prior to going through customs.

Single Re-Entry: 1,900 THB

Multiple Re-Entry: 3,900 THB

If a student on a Non-Immigrant Education Visa leaves Thailand without a re-entry permit, the visa will be canceled and the visa process will have to start again from the beginning. This includes having to travel and visit a Royal Thai Embassy outside of Thailand to obtain your visa.

*Please notify the Admissions Office when you plan on leaving the country to update your 90 Day Report information.

  • Visa Expiration

BSM’s Visa Officer and Admissions Department will notify you of your upcoming Visa Expiration. Our Visa Officer will prepare your documents for the renewal of your Non-Immigrant Education Visa. Please allow one month’s time prior to your Visa Expiration for the paperwork to be complete.

If a student’s visa expires, there is a fine of 500 THB per day.

For more questions regarding how to maintain your student visa, please contact the Admissions Office.

Bangkok School of Management is located in an international office tower in downtown Bangkok in the heart of the central business district. Within walking distance, you will find the regional head-offices of Fortune 500 companies, a dazzling array of designer outlets, markets, malls, 5 star hotels and embassies.

You will also find accommodation suiting a variety of budgets. The BTS Sky Train, which connects directly to BSM’s office tower via a convenient footbridge, runs along Phayathai Road, Sukhumvit Road, Phahon Yothin Road and Sathon/Silom Roads while connecting to the underground train (subway/metro) system serving Ratchadaphisek Road. These roads contain the bulk of rented accommodation in Bangkok, which covers all budgets and styles.

Living in Bangkok can be quite cheap; it all depends on one’s personal expenses. Most of our students live in nearby rented apartments and hostels that can be found anywhere from THB 4,000 upwards.

To make the transition easier for you, we have selected a number of accommodation options to help you start your search. We can help you secure your housing if you need extra help. Alternatively, you can make your own arrangements.

Should you have any further questions please feel free to contact the Admissions Office. We look forward to your arrival in Bangkok.

Student Counseling

Individual counselling can be accessed by having an Initial Assessment session where you and the counsellor can explore what type of counselling might be appropriate to your needs. You should be able to have an initial session within 2 weeks but may then have to wait to have regular counselling, depending upon demand.
