About BSM

Established in 1998, Bangkok School of Management (BSM) is the first and only UK accredited INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE & TRANING INSTITUTE in Thailand, duly licensed by the Ministry of Education, Thailand (Registration No.: Kor Ror 235/2554), offering a wide range of Business / Management courses and programmes, leading to globally recognized qualification such as Certificate, Diploma, Higher Diploma, BA (Hons), BSc (Hons) as well as MBA.

BSM is situated in the heart of Bangkok city, and is accessible through a variety of public transportation facilities such as the sky-train, underground train, taxi, and bus. The college has standard-size classrooms of 10-25 student, a seminar hall with seating capacity of 40-50 students, a virtual library, computer lab, conference room, student lounge and academic/pastoral care support centre.

BSM is located on the 16th floor of the famous Amarin Plaza, located right in the heart of the city of Bangkok (Ratchaprasong area). The area is surrounded by sophisticated modern infrastructure, tourists’ attractions and shopping malls and leisure/entertainment centres.

International Accreditation

All the courses and/or programmes delivered at BSM have been validated (vetted) by UK Examination Board, and as such, are of UK and international standards.


At present, all of Bangkok School of Management courses and programmes are validated by the College of Birmingham / School of Business (located in Birmingham, the West Midlands of England), a UK government recognized institution (http://www.world.cob.ac/) duly affiliated to highly reputable names the field of international education such as PEARSON, EDEXCEL and ATHE, as well as top industry partners in the UK, such as Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, which comprises of Burton & District Chamber of Commerce, Chase Chamber of Commerce, Lichfield & Tamworth Chamber of Commerce, Solihull Chamber of Commerce, British American Business Council, Institute of Asian Businesses, and Future Faces.


Because of BSM’s UK accreditation status, the courses/credits earned at BSM are transferable to many other universities around the world. For example, students are able to gain direct entry into the third or final year of Bachelor Degree programme without having to lose any academic credit (full academic credit transfers*), hence do not require to repeat the courses they have completed at BSM, while in Thailand.

Global Partnerships

At Bangkok School of Management, we believe that strong international collaborations are central to a successful international education. Hence Bangkok School of Management currently works with the following international bodies: Northumbria University, University of Business and International Studies, SR International College, Institute of Psychotherapy and Management Science, and others

Kor Por & CHE (Commission of Higher Education) Recognition

Northumbria University is officially listed as a recognized UK university by Kor Por (Ministry of Civil Services) as well as the Commission of Higher Education, CHE, Thailand.

Students who study two years at BSM and transfer to Newcastle, UK to complete their final year at Northumbria University (On-campus) would have their BA (Hons) degree automatically recognized in Thailand, and are eligible for employment in both public (government) and private sectors.

Students who complete the final year programme through distance learning mode, at Bangkok School of Management (BSM), which is Northumbria University’s Distance Learning Support Center in Thailand, could have their BA (Hons) degree similarly recognized and used for employment in both public (government) and private sectors in Thailand if the following conditions are met:

A Bachelor degree obtained through online/distance learning programme is RECOGNIZED if the following conditions are met and if the institution could provide evidences that students studying in the programme:

  1. Applied to the university directly
  2. Went through the process of actually studying in the programme over a duration of time
  3. Paid tuition fee to the university
  4. Submitted work to the university
  5. Had their work assessed by professors at the university
  6. Have been in direct communication with professors at the university
